About Our Speaker

Dr. Barbara Huddleston spent twenty-nine years as a college English and journalism teacher. For twelve years before that she was a small town daily newspaper reporter / editor. While teaching, she continued writing freelance for local newspapers and magazines and spent several summers editing a small weekly newspaper. She now edits online for other authors and writes an occasional historical romance, where she's learned just how easy it is to make all the mistakes she says to avoid. Barb is lucky to have won a few awards for newspaper features and news, and for her books. She's a long-time member and former vice-president of Ozarks Romance Authors and former treasurer, board of directors secretary, and meeting liaison for Ozarks Writers League.
